
The Storm of Political Events
While Colorado was recalling the President of the Senate, John Morse, for his support of stricter gun control laws, California gun owners and safety advocates were left wondering how neighboring states could be so different. On the eve of the anniversaries of 9-11 and Benghazi, irony has it that Governor Brown signed multiple pieces of legislation into law. These laws included bills that prohibit the willing of historic firearms to ones’ heirs, and another that essentially bans hunting by banning lead used in most all hunting ammunition.
The convergence of these events, the day before the anniversary of 9-11, and Benghazi, and combined with the President’s speech on his intention to go to war with Syria had social media reeling, and pundits speculating.
Assemblyman Donnelly, who is running for Governor of California, told PolitiChicks that the irony is astounding. “Colorado may only be 1000 miles from Sacramento, but it might as well be in another Galaxy.”
Donnelly seemed appalled that “while Colorado took a giant step forward defending Liberty from tyranny by recalling anti-gun John Morse, California took two steps backward toward erasing the Second Amendment…
