If any good can come…

The recent shooting of several people in Tuscon, AZ including Congresswoman Giffords and a little 9 year old girl, should be a wake up call to all Americans about what really unites us.

We are Americans first, one Nation under God. We saw this in spades right after 9-11. American flags were everywhere. Churches were full. America learned the meaning of “one Nation, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all.”

The immediate finger pointing that took place in the media and others is not constructive.
All should step back, humble themselves and pray for all of those hurt in this mess and for our Country.

Blaming the Second Amendment is perhaps more meaningless than the finger pointing. It shows a basic lack of respect to the victim, Congresswoman Giffords, who herself was a Second Amendment supporter.

The Tea Party, who are composed largely of God loving, prayerful, peace seeking folks who sacrifice time and talent to do what they believe will save this precious country, and all of her freedoms would obviously never condone such an action. This is common sense. For anyone to say otherwise is not only very sad, but divisive and unproductive.

The only one to blame here is the sickening accused murderer who “favorited” this video of burning the American flag. He deserves all the blame and punishment.

Instead of blaming one another, could we please unite as a Nation around the principle that this violence is never acceptable, regardless of party or political views? That will be the only victory in all of this, and is the best way to honor lives lost in this tragedy. Our flag is symbolic of victory through tragedy. Perhaps the busy bodies could put down their keyboards and mount a flagpole today, as a voice of unity against all kinds of assaults on our freedoms, and in one voice, as the United States of America.

Call Your Senators to vote NO on Repeal of DADT…

December 17th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

Taken from The Christian Post (ChristianPost.com):

The House passed on Wednesday a bill to end the ban against gays and lesbians serving openly in the military.

This is the third time this year that DADT repeal legislation has reached the Senate. Previously, the repeal was tacked onto a Defense Authorization bill. But after failing to get passed the Senate twice, the House moved to introduce a freestanding bill.

President Barack Obama and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates are backing a quick repeal.

Doug Carlson of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission denounced the attempt to ram through a repeal of the 1993 policy in the lame-duck session.

“This Christmas, the upper chamber is hoping to deliver another unwanted present: repeal of two centuries of military conduct policy against open homosexuals in the military,” he said. “To rush through repeal would be no welcomed Christmas present to our troops. It would be a grave disservice to our valiant servicemen and women.”

Family Research Council President and Marine Corps veteran Tony Perkins has called out Congress for sacrificing U.S. troops to a political agenda.

“By making this change, and putting it as a priority over the actual funding of the troops, Congress is choosing to use the military, not as a tool for national defense, but as an instrument of social engineering,” he said after the House vote.

Perkins rejected the House for ignoring the pleas of seasoned commanders, including Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James Amos.

A day ahead of the House vote, Amos said combat Marines are concerned that a DADT repeal may be a distraction.

“I don’t want to lose any Marines to the distraction,” he warned. “I don’t want to have any Marines that I’m visiting at Bethesda [Naval Medical Center] with no legs be the result of any type of distraction.

“Right now is a very intense period of time for a pretty healthy slice of the United States Marine Corps. This is not training. This is what I call the real deal. And the forces that wear this uniform … came back and told their commandant of the Marine Corps that they have concerns. That’s all I need. I don’t need a staff study. I don’t need to hire three PhDs to tell me [how] to interpret it… [I]f they have concerns, I do too. It’s as simple as that.”

The stand-alone bill to repeal DADT was sponsored by Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine).

Tea Party President in 2012

November 22nd, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

See the original article at BIG GOVERNMENT

Chilling thought for the day. Recall the election of 1948, when the Republican Party’s heavily-favored, moderate and uninspiring nominee lost to Truman in a race in which he was heavily favored to win. The tragedy is not that the Chicago Tribune got the headline wrong, but that the American people lost either way given the choice between a left-leaning Republican and a slightly right-leaning Democrat. To see how much we have learned from history, here is a pop quiz.

If you cannot answer any of the following questions, you are ill-prepared for 2012.

Leading up to the 1996 Presidential election, anytime Republicans were gathered, from Young Republicans to State Committees, anywhere in the Country, including Kansas, one candidate was the hands down favorite, usually with double the votes of the second pick. Who was the darling of the Republican Party in 1996?
(hint: Pat Buchanan was usually second)

In 1964, Barry Goldwater won a primary victory defeating among others, Governor George Romney. What book is credited with helping the Conservative Goldwater break the grip of the moderate wing that opposed him? Who was the second, and only other Republican in the last century to defy the statist wing of the Republican Party and wrest the Presidential nomination?

In her book A Choice Not an Echo (1964), Phyllis Schlafly names the dates, places and attendees of the meetings as she details how the Republican Presidential nominees are always hand-picked by a small, elite cadre’ thus relegating loyal Republican activists to “echoing” the pre-selection rather than exercising their birthright “choice”. The housewife-turned-activist Schlafly, was horrified to see the kingmakers actively manipulating the process in an attempt to steal the nomination away from the legitimate Republican popular candidate, Barry Goldwater. She rushed tens of thousands of copies of her book to Convention delegates who then stood with Goldwater to win the battle, if not the war.

Skeptics will wonder how it is possible that a selection of such magnitude could really be manipulated. If you are among them, ask yourself this question. How on earth did two candidates so universally unpopular in Republican circles as Bob Dole and John McCain manage to win their nominations?

In 1996, I joined most Republican activists in backing Senator Phil Gramm. That was not a hard choice. The Ph.D., economist, Texas blue dog Democrat, had ushered Reagan’s tax cuts through the Democrat controlled House into the waiting arms of the Republican Senate. In so doing, he helped turn our Country around. Realizing how his Party had become more Socialist than Democrat, he did an amazing thing. He resigned his seat and re-ran as a Republican. We loved him. You probably forgot about him. The kingmakers stole the 1996 nomination from him, and from us.

Why is this important now?

Governor Mit Romney stands eager to win the office his father never did. As a prolific candidate in leftist Massachusetts, he is on record vacillating on issues such as abortion and even the stature of Ted Kennedy. He is popular with the kingmakers. When the number 1 or 2 issue on voters’ minds is the repeal of Obama along with his Obamacare, conservatives are understandably cautious about the prospect of having as their nominee, the author of Romneycare. Schlafly warned of GOP candidates who echo the position choices of leftists. Hello?

So if Schlafly provided the tool to nominate Goldwater in 1964, and the sheer force of Ronald Reagan being, well, the Great One, allowed him to win the nomination in 1980, the Tea Party movement holds the key to beating the kingmakers in 2012.

Defeating the moderates in 2012 will require two things. First, the disparate groups will have to settle on one candidate, and do so fast. Second, they will have to work together, united and coordinated, grooming activists at all levels including the Tea Party Youth, Tea Party Students and Tea Party Centenarians. Hey, pull out all the stops! Right?

Certainly the midterm elections crushed the Obama-Reid-Pelosi oligarchy and slowed our great Country from a breakneck pace toward Socialism back down to mere creeping Socialism. There is so much to repair not just from Obama but even from the past Republican years. We need a nominee committed to nothing less than full restoration of our Constitutional Republic. Any hint of the stench of neo-conservative statism is unacceptable. As the pendulum swings, we appear to be returning from the leftward most swing of Obamafascism on a trajectory far back to the Founding Fathers’ perfect, small government vision. It is our watch. Let us pick the right nominee-fast, and pull out all the stops in that pendulum’s path to liberty!

Fear Factor: Sarah Palin and 2012

November 20th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

Recently, I attended the Conservatives for Palin, and I gained some insight I think conservatives want to consider moving forward. The group was not like any I have ever known. There were all kinds of people there—Christians, Jews, Hindus, women, men, black, white, Asian, and even Nordic! They were gay, straight, old, young, republican, democrat, libertarian, and independent, and they all had one thing in common…they believe the stringent adherence to the US Constitution is the answer to the problems we have today.

Even if they are quiet, there are those conservatives who struggle with a female president. Dr. Dathan Paterno, noted psychologist and author says the reality is, that there WILL be a woman president in the near future—that it is in the American psyche. What happens if conservatives choose NOT to nominate Sarah Palin? Certainly the liberals will nominate a woman soon, and then they continue the whining about sexism that has worked for them for so long.

Liberals and establishment politicians of all parties seem to have a special venom for the former Governor of Alaska. If she is really so “unelectable” then why all the fuss? “Thou doth protest…”. If she is really so laughable, then why do the jokes about her keep falling flat? Could it be that they obsess about her for the psychological reason that they can’t stand the threat she poses to them? Could it be because they see her as the greatest threat in recent history to their personal goals, and the establishment media and messaging they have used to control politics in this country for a generation? Could it be that the nomination of Sarah Palin for President is a revolution?

Her nomination presents a real conundrum for liberals and establishment parties of all stripes. If the Republicans nominate Sarah Palin, how will the liberals continue to accuse the right of being sexist? Where will the feminists go to find their beloved glass ceiling victim status? If she has outspoken gay supporters who don’t disagree with her stance that this is a Judeo Christian republic with a founding document that matters more than someone’s sexual preference, then how will the militant gays continue to relegate Christians to radical, homophobic, hating extremists? If a family woman, a mom, can (based on her Christian principle) in fact love someone that the liberals say she hates, then what do liberals do with that? If the constitutional conservatives progress this nation to nominate the first female nominee for president, then how do liberals continue to abuse labels like “progressive” and “tolerant”?

Conservatives have their own issues. First, from a GOP perspective, consultants use their experience with the apparatus to be hired by candidates to run their campaigns. How will they do that if someone climbed to the top on a different tree? Some conservatives may struggle with her rebuke of legalistic philosophy in lieu of one that favors real liberty, and Christ-like love, even for those who live or believe differently than you. Perhaps most difficult for some conservatives to admit–When a woman like Sarah Palin is President, how to we reconcile our own sideline behavior without tremendous guilt? I wish I had a good answer to that last one.

The militant liberals don’t like her, but interestingly she has attracted a broad group of people who do like her. Their loyalty has resulted in an organization that is so talented and proficient, it is difficult to comprehend, even to a seasoned campaign veteran. Her supporters are constitution loving, focused and very, very serious about supporting her (or whomever she taps with her magic winning wand)! Not everyone at the Conservatives for Palin were certain she would run, or that she should, but almost all that I talked to agreed that if she did run, the Country would be shocked at her savvy and self deprecating ability to do so. They all agreed that she is far stronger, far more capable than any of her opponents even know. She is certainly well vetted, beyond that of any other candidate. Most people would agree that no other candidate has endured the ridicule and jabs that Sarah has overcome.

Her critics say she does all she does for money, but with two books and a television show, that argument doesn’t hold any more water than the fame argument, or the power hound. She just won 71%+ of the elections she touched, and many were considered “unwinnable.” She has become a culture icon of sorts. She could take her lipstick, shoes, glasses, mama grizzly, and even barracuda labels, and she could probably start a fashion line and retire to an Alaskan island with a lovely view of Russia.

The liberals have always underestimated Governor Palin and she has continued to shock them as she seamlessly wins elections like a political Houdini of sorts.

All of the accusations about her motives tend to leave the listening public with one logical conclusion: She must be in this because she believes in what she is doing, and genuinely cares about this Country. That is not a half bad motive by most peoples’ standards, and it is hard to argue otherwise and sound rational.

If Sarah Palin runs and wins, it will certainly be a political analyst’s dream to observe. Fear is not a factor for the Palins, and they seem to enjoy the challenge of overcoming all the predictions about their family. They might just shock us again in the weeks to come–and the ones after that.

Branson Rally gives Tea Partiers ENERGY!

October 25th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

Article featured on News-Leader.com

The Branson Tea Party Coalition rallied Saturday in one final pre-election push and organizers are looking forward to next year and a new focus on local municipalities.

About 2,000 people gathered at the Tri-Lakes Center to demonstrate and listen to country singer Ray Stevens and Milton Wolf, a second cousin of President Barack Obama who opposes the federal health care law.

Some vendors handed out campaign literature and an Ayn Rand primer; others sold DVDs or offered concealed carry classes.

Timothy von Becker of Ozark attached a cardboard box to his hat to promote his service, packupandgetout.com. Through his site, people can pay shipping to send boxes to members of Congress with the suggestion that those members should leave. Donors can donate toward a larger pool or send a box to the person of their choosing. “We’re not going away after November,” von Becker promised.

Stevens, a winner of two Grammys, said in an interview that he’s worried about the direction of the country, and he likes the people in the tea party movement.

“It’s a class of people I belong to,” he said.

Attendees said they enjoyed meeting like-minded people and many pointed to the health care bill as the impetus for their outrage.

“It’s refreshing to see people with resolve to take their anger to the polls, not the streets,” said Jerry Ozee, a Hollister resident who came with his wife, Shirley.

When It Comes to Leaping to Conclusions, ‘Blame Conservatives First’ Is Watchword of Biased MSM

August 28th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

The Mainstream Media got caught with their hands in the cookie jar again. They were jubilant to jump on the “it’s the Tea Party’s fault” bandwagon within hours of an August 17 firebombing of Democrat Congressman Russ Carnahan’s St. Louis office. No one was hurt. The finger pointing was immediate, because this was a double header for the MSM. Not only did this give them an opportunity to try to pin something, anything, on a Tea Partier, but it also gave them a chance to take pot shots at conservative favorite, Ed Martin, who is currently gaining in his race to oust the unpopular, liberal Carnahan in Missouri.

Speculation began immediately for the liblogs, and in some local papers. St. Louis Tea Party Founder Bill Hennessy quickly put out a statement that the bombing of a Congressman’s office should be immediately investigated by the FBI. Bill and I spoke at that time along with others in Tea Party leadership. We knew, without asking around or knowing the details, that this was not a Tea Party tactic, and that the investigation would lead to the truth and further embarrassment of the left, by the left.

The Riverfront Times and other blogs reported that since the description of the suspect was “50, white, angry — he certainly fits the demographics of a Tea Party member.”

The MSM has spent thousands of man-hours trying to paint the Tea Party and grassroots conservatives as “Angry (Old) White Dudes,” when in fact, they tend to be young females who are highly educated. But let’s not get distracted with the facts. They never do.

When the investigations were complete, and the suspect was announced, cooler conservative heads prevailed. The firebomb suspect in Congressman Carnahan’s office in St. Louis is not only a liberal blogger in the area, but also a former paid campaign worker for Russ Carnahan, himself. He writes for TPMCafe under the name, “Ripper McCord.” St. Louis Tea Party leader Jim Hoft was first to break the story at Gateway Pundit. Carnahan confirmed the suspect’s relationship to him as a former paid canvasser in a statement released yesterday.

“As to the legions of Tea Party adherents who are calling for my head: No, I have no regrets. I was having fun — at their expense,” Riverfront Times reporter Chad Garrison said in an email to the conservative website, the Daily Caller. This is completely typical of what MSM and leftist journalists do in St. Louis on a regular basis.

As in the case with Kenneth Gladney, the black man who was beaten by SEIU workers at a rally because they thought he was a Tea Partier, the facts are buried beneath the speculation and misrepresentation. Their own echo chambers become their news feeds, and the public never knows the truth.

So far, there is no apology for any of the misinformation reported on conservatives. Don’t hold your breath. Perhaps the Riverfront Times reporter gave himself an escape hatch when he later wrote: “On second thought, maybe he’s (the 50 year old angry white male) not a Tea Party member. Firebombing your opponent’s office seems a little too, um, sane for that group.”

Instead of an apology, or any honesty in this whole situation, it appears that conservatives will instead have more such left-handed compliments tossed at them by the leftist media. Typical. But we are always ready.

Call to Christians…

August 13th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

I spent the better part of the week in Corporate meetings with Mr. Crawford and the Crawford Broadcasting Company in a meeting of the minds as to how to do our part to defeat the hostile takeover of our beloved Country.

In a phone conference, Mr. Crawford told his talent that it is time to go to the mat. He said that around 50% of Christians don’t even vote, and that it is incumbent upon us to change that in our work over the coming days preceding the election.

The look of passion and inspiration was rampant among the Crawford talent after Mr. Crawford’s remarks, and you could feel the conviction in the room. We launched the first in a series of National roundtable discussions involving why Christians don’t vote, why some Christians vote for liberals, and how to shed light on the truth, and severity of the issue.

World renowned author and speaker, Bill Federer was on my show where he raised a poignant point. If we do not activate and vote in this election, we may never vote in a meaningful election again in our lives.

Our free speech is under attack. Our faith is being taken from us. Our freedom is eroding. Our property is being stolen from us. Control of our family’s healthcare has been removed. We are being lied to, and lied about more than ever in this Nation’s history. Christians are under attack, and all other faiths are being exalted.

They can call us paranoid, but it is only paranoid if they aren’t really out to get you. Make no mistake, they are out to get us.

It is time to understand the black and white details of our Constitution, and the reality of separation of Church and State. It is time to not only ask your pastor to preach the hard truth from the pulpit, but leave the church if he is spineless. Let him know before you go that he won’t have a pulpit to preach from if he carries on in his convenient wimp mode.

It is time to get out of the gutter, stop condoning the malicious, the contentious, the crass, the indecent, and the unholy for the sake of convenience.

For moms–it is time to consider the distraction of soccer games, shopping, and carpool, and commit yourself to shaking Christians awake in time to change the course of history.

For dads–it is time to shake the sports habit, the remote control, and the recliner. Realize your job assigned by God is not monetary provision alone, but also political activism if that is what it’s going to take to win back control of our God-given Nation. If you are a Christian, and you choose to sit in your warm, comfy pew one more Sunday, then the blood of your own children is on your hands, and God isn’t going to bless anything else you do.

Start today. Start now. It is almost too late. Politics can no longer be put aside by Christians as merely a calling, it has become an imperative. For God’s sake, and the sake of all that matters, Christians, wake up!

Missouri Shows Em!

August 4th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

Patriots in the great Show Me state have a victory on their hands, and they deserve it! Proposition C passed with 71% of the vote and sent a LOUD message to the President and his administration– “NO!”.

It will be interesting to watch him squirm his way around this one, and to watch him continue to expose his socialist arrogance to the whole Country, while they demand to be heard.

I believe he convinces Americans every day that he simply does not care what they think–not on Arizona, not on Healthcare, not on Card Check, not on Abortion, not on the Supreme Court.

Thanks to the patriot movement in the Show Me State, almost 3/4 of voters know that a vote for Democrats in November is a vote to ensure that your opinion does not matter. Obama, and those he endorses (Carnahan, Clay, etc.) might want to reconsider their vulnerabilities and learn something. Patriots can tell them, patriots can pass the Proposition to illustrate their point, but patriots can’t understand it for those who are too arrogant to listen to them.

He is losing the minority vote, the Reagan democrats are Tea Partiers, and even Barbara Streisand is critical of Obamanomics.

This administration and its cronies are in deep, deep trouble, but so is our beloved republic for what they have done to it. Let’s pray that patriots make it to the finish line before liberals have a chance to completely undermine the heart of our great Nation.

Political A List: Blogger, Jim Hoft. A Diamond in the Grass.

June 10th, 2010 | By Gina Loudon

Who knew that Jim Hoft, the #2 blogger in the world lives and works from his home right here in St. Louis? The truth is, you would not know if you talked to him, or his neighbors, that he is the World famous Gateway Pundit.

This humble man, despite his affinity for the bullhorn, is not one to talk about himself or his accomplishments. He is an amazingly understated patriot who stands ready to tout the accomplishments of others in the conservative crowd. That is what makes it even more gratifying to know that Right Wing News has named him the #2 blogger in the Country, surpassing greats like Michelle Malkin, Red State, and more.

Jim has worked hard to change politics and he deserves this recognition. That is why he is our Political A Lister this week! Congratulations, Jim!
